During our Montessori 101 workshop, we will provide details of Montessori’s theories of education from birth through 12 years of age. Montessori philosophy is a radically progressive form of education based in scientific observation of children at each stage of development. The guides design the environment to engage and inspire the child, and the adults guide the child toward their individual potential.
Our first adult educational workshop is coming up in a couple of weeks.
- Montessori 101
- Thursday, October 5th
- 6:00 to 7:30 PM
- Primary campus – 1608 Trumansburg Rd

This event is open to the public so if you know people who are interested in Montessori, invite them! They are welcome to come.
We will be providing limited childcare for this event for Namaste students ages 3 and older, please let us know ASAP if you need childcare.
The purpose of this first education night is to give a general overview of Montessori philosophy. We will share the discoveries Dr. Maria Montessori made over 100 years ago. Many of her discoveries are repeatedly proven true in modern psychology and neuroscience. We will share the needs and characteristics of the child at each stage of development from birth to 12 years. Additionally, we will cover some of the ways the environment and the adults serve the child at each age.
There is so much depth to the work we do. We are so excited to share with you about how this method manifests at our school!
Regular Events for Parents
During the school year, Namaste Montessori School offers regular workshops to our community and to the broader public. These events help our families understand and appreciate the Montessori Method. They also build relationships with each other and their child’s guide. For many events, we offer childcare, often with a meal provided. This allows parents and caregivers to attend and to relax and focus :). Visit our calendar to check on other upcoming events and activities for our families.
