Choosing a School for Your Child

When considering admission, parents are charged with providing the best situations for their children. This task is unique to each family because each family and each school is unique. When a school is the right match for all the individuals involved, amazing things happen! We hope you will find your match with us. We proudly offer a school that puts the child’s developmental needs first and employs a scientifically-backed and individually responsive method of education for the children. And for parents, our school offers a supportive and empowering community. Montessori had a vision for education that was simultaneously a vision for peace in our time. Her vision was based in the idea that through meaningful activity within a loving community, the child can manifest as their best, most true self.

Exploring Namaste Montessori School

Namaste Montessori School is more than just a Primary or Elementary school or a Toddler daycare program. In fact, Namaste is a true community of families that share a vision, values, and goals for our children. During the admissions process, we learn about each family and assist families in finding the program that is the best match for their child. We know the joy of connecting when our school is the right match for your family!

Gathering to watch the performance!

We actively encourage families to observe and explore the many school options available when considering admission. Our goal is to present our program as truthfully as possible to help families to grasp the nature of our school and what we have to offer. As a result, families can weigh all the factors as they consider whether our school is indeed the right match for their child and their family.

We offer school tours, classroom observations, open houses, Montessori education meetings, and meetings with the Head of School as ways to get to know our community. We have a lending library of videos, DVDs, and books that describe the Montessori philosophy of education and are a great resource for parents.

When we admit a new student, we are not simply bringing him or her into the school community. We are additionally bringing in parents, siblings, and extended family. We give strong preference to families who share common values and goals with the school when making admissions decisions. Additionally, we work to ensure that after careful consideration, families are confident that our school is something that they want very much for their children, for the right reasons.

Admissions Policy

We consider applications for admissions on a case-by-case open admission basis. Although we will place children on a waiting list when there are no openings available. In the event of an opening, we will consider children on the waiting list for admission based on the date an application was received and age and needs of the child. We also consider the classroom community age balance and needs of the children already enrolled. We may grant priority to siblings of currently enrolled students, children of staff members, and transfers from other Montessori schools in the admissions process.

The Namaste Montessori School admits students of any race, color, nationality, and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities made available to students at the school. Namaste Montessori School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national, and ethnic origin in administration of educational policies and admission policies. We following the traditional multi-age Montessori classroom model. Therefore, Namaste Montessori School is committed to creating a balanced learning environment and peer group for all students. We are committed to integrating and accommodating children with special needs into our program, in accordance with the Montessori philosophy and appropriate early childhood practices.

In some circumstance’s Namaste Montessori School is not the “right fit” for a child and family. Consequently, Namaste Montessori School reserves the right not to accept a child into the program or to ask a child to leave the program based on the school’s inability to meet the needs of the child. We will support the family in finding a program better suited to the child’s specific needs.
