Why Namaste?

Namaste Montessori is more than just a school: We are a child-centered community of faculty and families who are committed to honoring the light in each child. We know that each child will express their love of learning, their empathy and care for others, and their most peaceful selves, when their developmental needs are met. By implementing Montessori with integrity and providing meaningful work, interesting educational pursuits, and deep personal connections, we nurture the mind, body, and spirit of each individual.

Namaste Montessori School serves children between the ages of eighteen months and twelve years in our toddler, primary, and elementary programs. We bring dynamic, meaningful, and engaging education to each individual child, and to educate and support every family connected to our school in order to build a warm and nurturing community for children and their families.

We know young children possess a passion for learning. They literally absorb life around them, and our role as adults is to remove any obstacles that might inhibit the child’s inner drive and passion for knowledge. Through careful observation, and presentations with Montessori materials, the adults guide and support each child on their individual learning journey. We are honored to have the chance to guide them as they learn.

Montessori schools are often called “Children’s Houses” and for children these classrooms are as inviting, comfortable, and as enjoyable as their own home. It is not an adult environment adapted for children, it is an environment created just for them.

Our philosophy combines a passion and joy for learning with the values of hard work and integrity as well as support in gaining self-regulation skills. Our program prepares children not just for success in school, but for success in life.
