Lex Thompson

After Lex had her own children, she realized how passionate she was about making a difference in the field of education. Her Montessori journey began when you sought a school for your 2-year-old and ended up working for the school as well. She loves watching children find something they are passionate or curious about. The love and excitement in their eyes when something starts to make sense is incredible to witness. Lex has been working with children professionally since 2014. She currently works with elementary students, ages 6-12. In addition to her passion for education, Lex is also passionate about mental health and the importance of maintaining a growth mindset. She works to give all her students the tools to be successful, including knowing how to cope with stress, anxiety, overwhelm, communication and other challenges. Outside of her work at Namaste, Lex enjoys being outside to hike, walk and enjoy the lake. She uses creative pursuits to maintain calm and cope with stress. She reads and plays games and watches television with her family.
Education and Training: Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Certified Therapeutic Art Coach, Certified Cognitive Behavioral Technique Life Coach, Montessori Elementary Lead I and II training through the Center for Guided Montessori Studies (CGMS) in progress
