What is Montessori?

Montessori is a scientifically-derived method of education developed by Dr. Maria Montessori through careful observation of children and with insights from many educational researchers of her time. In the 100+ years since she formulated her groundbreaking methods, many of her theories have been proven true through modern neuroscience and developmental psychology. While Montessori schools are unique in their precision and authenticity, many schools have incorporated Dr. Montessori’s methods into their pedagogy.

Some striking differences between Montessori and other educational methods are:
